As predicted after looking at Saturday’s collection, Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ABCD2 smashed the first weekend record of Gabbar is Back by a huge margin. The movie maintained its momentum on Saturday and took a great leap in collection on Sunday to become the biggest opening grosser so far.
As per the box office reports, Remo D’Souza directed ABCD2 garnered 17.51 crores on first Sunday to take its total domestic box office collections to 46.35 crores which can be termed outstanding as the movie doesn’t have any big name. The movie is youth oriented, so it might not maintain its pace like family drama Tanu Weds Manu, but a century figure is well within its reach in 8-10 days.
