Shahrukh and Kajol’s one of the most awaited movie Dilwale opened to a very good response at the domestic box office. Though the movie received bad to average rating from critics, the huge fan base of SRK made it look gigantic at the ticket counters.
As per the box office reports, the movie garnered about 21 crores on its opening day. Though 21 crores might be a small figure considering the opening collections of other superstars of India, it is also a fact that the movie didn’t enjoy solo release, got poor-average critics rating, and some shows were cancelled due to protests against SRK’s intolerance remarks. The movie is really facing a tough competition posed by Bajirao Mastani, but it is supposed to post a bigger total on Saturday and Sunday as it’s enjoying average-good rating from the real moviegoers. The first weekend collection might be in the range of 75-80 crores.
