Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer action-comedy film Judwaa 2 is on the way to becoming one of the highest grosser of 2017. The way it is performing at the ticket counters will make it the second-biggest earner of the year after Bahubali 2 – The Conclusion. Anyway, Bahubali’s collection is untouchable by any Bollywood movie for at least 5-10 years unless India’s GDP per capita doubles or triples in 4-5 years. Bahubali was liked in all regions of India, so only a movie like Bahubali can break Bahubali’s record.
As per the box office reports, the film amassed 98.08 crores in the very first week. The daily collection of the film in its first week is as follows: Fri 16.10 cr, Sat 20.55 cr, Sun 22.60 cr, Mon 18 cr, Tue 8.05 cr, Wed 6.72 cr, Thu 6.06 cr.

The new release Chef is going to be one of the biggest disasters, which mean Judwaa 2 will have no competition until Diwali. Two open weeks will give Judwaa 2 an opportunity to cross 150 crores in its lifetime. The film is still the first choice of moviegoers, so the second week is also going to be humongous. The overseas business of the film is also the highest for Varun Dhawan, which means it got appreciations from most of the moviegoers. The first-week collection in the international market is more than 25 crores. Unlike other big films, it has a limited overseas release. So, going past 25 crores is a big achievement for a Varun Dhawan film.
#Judwaa2 does SUPER Overseas… Week 1: $ 4.03 mn [₹ 26.33 cr]… Higher than #JollyLLB2 [$ 3.6 mn], #BKD [$ 3.8 mn]… All Fox Star films.
