Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer comedy-drama film Shubh Mangal Savdhan underperformed at the box office because of competitions from multiple good films. Starting from the release of TEPK, the box office has witnessed excellent movies every week. That’s why movies like TEPK, Bareilly ki Barfi, and Babumoshai Bandookbaaz could not reach their expected lifetime collection. All these good movies lost screens in their second weekends; TEPK can be called the biggest victim of this competition.
As per the box office reports, the film collected 2.71 crores on the first Friday. The film has a really excellent word of mouth, so the collection will definitely jump during the weekend.

The film is mainly for multiplexes and it has almost zero chance in single screens where Baadshaho is doing an excellent business. Currently, the film is looking at 10-12 crores in its first weekend, but if the jump is less than 50%, it might have to settle in a single digit.
