Salman Khan’s one of the most awaited movies Tubelight finally reached the theaters on 23rd June, but the occupancy report on day one does’t portend a good sign for the movie. Whatever be the collection, it is definitely not going to be a celebrated opening for Salman’s fans. The film has already been thrashed by most of the critics, which means it will not enjoy a good number of footfalls in the long run.
According to several box office reports, the average occupancy on first Friday was 45-50% in North India, and 30-40% in rest of the regions. Maharashtra and Gujarat regions have turned out to be the worst performing regions for the film. Also, there are numerous reports that suggest that moviegoers’ verdict is not very exciting, so now it has to rely on Salman’s stardom to make producers happy.

As per box office reports, the first day domestic box office collection of the film is 21.15 crores. Nowadays because of social media and whatsapp, any news spreads very quickly. So, it would be interesting to see how does it perform during weekend.
