Akshay Kumar Unveils New Poster of His Upcoming Film ‘Padman’

Akshay Kumar took to Twitter Monday morning to share a brand new poster of his upcoming film “Padman” based on the awe-inspiring real-life story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who was honoured with the Padma Shri for creating awareness about menstrual hygiene in rural India. The tagline reads: ‘Super hero hai yeh pagla’. The poster sees Akshay wearing white short kurta and loosely fitted pajama. He is seen standing on a heap of cotton with his right hand held high with his fist tightly closed. Padman is a Hindi comedy-drama film directed by R. Balki, featuring Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in lead roles. Amitabh Bachchan appears in a special role. The film will be based on Twinkle Khanna’s book, The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which is inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham.
