Ayushmann Khurrana and Radhika Apte’s mystery thriller film Andhadun earned about 26% more on Monday compared to the collection on Friday. Such trend is very rare at the box office even if a film has a poor opening. After an unsatisfactory Friday, the film has grabbed the attention of moviegoers and has become the first choice at the ticket windows. As per the box office reports, the film garnered 3.40 crore on first Monday to take its total domestic box office collection to 18.40 crore after four days. Because of the upward trend during the weekend, the film is all set to cross 25 crore in its first week. It has received good ratings from critics and word of mouth publicity is extremely positive, so there is an enormous possibility that it would remain steady in the second week too.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collection of the movie on twitter. “#AndhaDhun emerges the first choice of moviegoers… Growth on Day 4 [vis-à-vis Day 1]: 25.93%… Jump in biz from Day 2 onwards indicates the strong word of mouth has come into play… Fri 2.70 cr, Sat 5.10 cr, Sun 7.20 cr, Mon 3.40 cr. Total: ₹ 18.40 cr. India biz.”, he wrote.
The box office collection of AndhaDhun is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 2.70 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 5.10 cr
Sunday (Day 3): ₹ 7.20 cr
Monday (Day 4): ₹ 3.40 cr
Total: ₹ 18.40 cr
Another release of the week, Loveyatri, is not able to continue its movement at the box office. A low weekend had already affected its lifetime collection, but the decline of Monday ensured that it will join the club of flop movies. As per the box office reports, the film earned about 1.05 crore on first Monday to take its total domestic box office collection to 8.05 crore after four days. The film may cross 10 crore in its first week but the lifetime collection is not going past 15 crore.
The box office collection of LoveYatri is as follows
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 1.95 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 2.15 cr
Sunday (Day 3): ₹ 2.90 cr
Monday (Day 4): ₹ 1.05 cr
Total: ₹ 8.05 cr
