After posting a poor total on Friday, Saif Ali Khan’s latest film Baazaar has shown an upward trend in its box office collection. The film witnessed about 34% growth on Saturday, which is definitely a positive sign for the film in long run. However, being a slow starter it should have grown more than 75% for a good lifetime collection.
As per the box office reports, the film earned 4.10 crore on first Saturday to take its total domestic box office collection to 7.17 crore after 2 days. The current trend suggests that the film is heading towards 12-13 crore in its first weekend. The film is doing good business in Mumbai and Gujarat regions only; other regions are very dull. So, it may struggle during weekdays. Saif’s recent movies have doomed at the box office and he must be expecting Baazaar to change the trend.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the figures on Twitter and wrote, “#Baazaar picks up pace on Day 2… Witnesses 33.55% growth, which is a healthy trend… Needs to regain lost ground by scoring higher numbers on Day 3 and also on weekdays… Mumbai circuit is performing better… Fri 3.07 cr, Sat 4.10 cr. Total: ₹ 7.17 cr. India biz.”
The box office collection of the film is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 3.07 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 4.10 cr
Total: ₹ 7.17 cr
