Ayushmann Khurrana’s latest releases, AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho, have defied all the competitions at the box office. The new releases have so far failed to deter their box office progress and both films have emerged as “Super Hit” ventures. On Saturday, both movies witnessed more than 75% growth in their collection.
As per the box office reports, Badhaai Ho earned 6.50 crore on second Saturday to take its total domestic box office collection to 76 crore after 9 days. Despite several releases, the film remained the first choice for the moviegoers. It is following the path of Stree and Raazi and should score a century very soon.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collection of the movie on twitter. “#BadhaaiHo will cruise past ₹ 80 cr mark today… Second Sat witnessed 91.18% growth… Question is, will it join the ₹ 100 cr Club?… Much depends on how strong it trends till #TOH arrives in #Diwali… [Week 2] Fri 3.40 cr, Sat 6.50 cr. Total: ₹ 76 cr. India biz.“, he wrote.
The box office collection of Badhaai Ho is as follows:
Week 1: ₹ 66.10 cr
Friday (Day 9): ₹ 3.40 cr
Saturday (Day 10): ₹ 6.50 cr
Total: ₹ 76 Cr Super Hit
The collection of Andhadhun was less than 1 crore on Friday, but the film enjoyed about 76% growth on Saturday. As per the box office reports, the film earned about 1.15 crore on fourth Saturday to take its total domestic box office collection to 63.35 crore after 23 days. A major chunk of the collection is coming from Mumbai and Banglore regions. If it had done better business in Delhi/NCR and central India, it would have also crossed 100 crore in its lifetime. But, because of the average collection in these regions, it has to settle at 68-70 crore.
The box office collection of AndhaDhun is as follows:
Week 1: ₹ 27.65 cr
Week 2: ₹ 22.65 Cr
Week 3: ₹ 11.25 Cr
Friday (Day 22): ₹ 0.65 cr
Saturday (Day 23): ₹ 1.15 cr
Total: ₹ 63.35 Cr Super Hit
