Once the verdict of Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan was out, it was evident that the one film that will benefit maximum from the debacle of TOH is Badhaai Ho. Despite losing a large number of screens, Ayushmann Khurrana’s comedy-drama film maintained the momentum at the box office. The failure of TOH helped Badhaai Ho to surpass 10 crore in the fourth week. As per the box office report, the film has earned 5.40 crore in first 4 days of the fifth week. The total domestic box office collection of the film now stands at 125.80 crore. The collection of Badhaai Ho in the fifth weekend was very close to that of TOH in the second weekend. It is by far the highest fifth weekend of 2018 beating Padmaavat by over 1 crore. The film will cross the lifetime business of Stree very soon and should end its box office journey at 133-135 crore.
