After doing an excellent business in the first week, Ranveer Singh’s Bajirao Mastani continued its box office juggernaut in the second week despite competition from Dilwale and Star Wars. Riding on excellent word of mouth publicity, the movie scored a half century in the second week to become the second film of 2015 after Bajrangi Bhaijaan to achieve this feat.
As per the box office reports, the movie amassed more than 55 crores in the second week to take its total domestic box office collection to 141.25 crores after 14 days. The steady collection during weekdays insinuates that the earning in the 3rd week is also going to be ginormous. It has already outperformed its competitor Dilwale in the domestic market and now the open third week will give it an opportunity to take a huge lead over the competitor. The movie is looking for 175-180 crores as the lifetime collection as the new Bollywood movies will start hitting the theaters from Jan 8.
