Shashank Khaitan’s Hindi adaptation of Marathi blockbuster Sairat is enjoying a good number of footfalls in theaters in its first week. Appreciations from movie critics and moviegoers are helping Dhadak in maintaining the pace at the box office. After scoring more than 30 crores in the first weekend, the film is now heading towards the half-century mark.As per the box office reports, the film collected 4.76 crores on first Tuesday to take its total domestic box office collection to 43.95 crores after 5 days. The drop in the collection is normal, so it should be able to earn 7-8 crores in the next two days of the first week.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the collection of the film, “#Dhadak is trending very well on weekdays… Biz on Mon and Tue indicates it has sustained beyond its opening weekend… Emerges a HIT… Fri 8.71 cr, Sat 11.04 cr, Sun 13.92 cr, Mon 5.52 cr, Tue 4.76 cr. Total: ₹ 43.95 cr. India biz.”, he wrote.
Sanjay Datt’s Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 will release this Friday which will definitely affect the lifetime collection Dhadak. But if Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 could not impress moviegoers, Dhadak will become the main beneficiary. Other than Karan Johar, the film does not have any big name. So, lifetime collection of 65-70 crores will give movie HIT tag.
The box office collection of the film is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 8.71 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 11.04 cr
Sunday (Day 3): ₹ 13.92 cr
Monday (Day 4): ₹ 5.52 cr
Tuesday (Day 5): ₹ 4.76 cr
Total: ₹ 43.95 cr
