Newcomers Janhvi Kapoor and Ihsaan Khatter’s Dhadak, a Hindi remake of the Marathi movie Sairat, has been enjoying a good number of footfalls in theaters since its opening day. After scoring 30+ crores in its first weekend, the film maintained the pace to cross the 50 crores mark in the very first week. Although the collection witnessed drop every day during weekdays, its weekend figure helped it to score a half-century in just 7 days.
As per the box office reports, the film amassed 3.55 crores on Thursday to take its total domestic box office collection to 51.56 crores after 7 days. A large percentage of the collection has come from Maharashtra and Gujarat regions, other regions have been dull for the film. So, the second week might be painful for it. Also, Hollywood biggie MI6 will definitely affect its collection in metros.
Sharing the latest box office figures of Dhadak, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#Dhadak has a SOLID Week 1… Crosses ₹ 50 cr… Weekend 2 is crucial… Will the new releases [especially #MI6] affect its biz or will it stay strong?… Fri 8.71 cr, Sat 11.04 cr, Sun 13.92 cr, Mon 5.52 cr, Tue 4.76 cr, Wed 4.06 cr, Thu 3.55 cr. Total: ₹ 51.56 cr. India biz.”
In the worst scenario, the film should add at least 7-8 crores to its total earnings in the second weekend which means the lifetime collection may not touch 75 crores mark.
The box office collection of the film is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 8.71 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 11.04 cr
Sunday (Day 3): ₹ 13.92 cr
Monday (Day 4): ₹ 5.52 cr
Tuesday (Day 5): ₹ 4.76 cr
Wednesday (Day 6): ₹ 4.06 cr
