The coming of the Hollywood movie Star Wars to the Indian theaters has marred the collection of Shahrukh Khan’s Dilwale whereas its competitor Bajirao Mastani remained intact. Due to poor-to-average rating by the moviegoers, the movie lost screen counts as well as revenue to the Hollywood biggie. Though the drop in the collection was minimal (about 10%), the gap in the collection of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani is widening now.
As per the box office reports, the movie garnered about 7.50 crores on second Friday (day 8) to take its total domestic box office collections to 104.50 crores. The film should show growth in the collection on Saturday and Sunday to post a decent total in the second weekend. If it remained flat on Saturday & Sunday, a good lifetime collection will be out of question. The trend for the movie is not exciting which might hinder its journey towards 200 crores.
