Rani Mukerji’s Hichki started on a slow note in the Chinese market but excellent word of mouth publicity helped the film gross about $14 million in two weeks. The collection in the second week is about 90% of that in the first week. A drop of just 10% shows how much love the Chinese audience is showering on the film.
As per the box office reports, the film earned $6.59 million in the second week to take its total Chines box office collection to $13.94 million after 14 days. The film should cross $15 million figure without any hurdle. At the end of the third weekend, it will be clear how far Hichki can go in the Chinese market.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collection of the movie on twitter. “#Hichki springs a BIG SURPRISE in #China… Crosses ₹ ? cr… The growth during weekends and strong trending on weekdays has helped put up a healthy total… Total till 25 Oct 2018: $ 13.94 mn [₹ 102.09 cr]… Power of good content!“, he wrote.
