Rani Mukerji’s Hichki witnessed a sharp decline in the collection in the second week because of Tiger’s Baaghi 2. Although the film did a decent business during the weekend, it failed to maintain its pace during weekdays and as a result, the daily collection fell below 1 crore.
As per the box office reports, the film collected 12.30 crores in the second week to take its total domestic box office collection to 38.40 crores. The daily collection of the film in its second week is as follows: Fri 2.40 cr, Sat 2.60 cr, Sun 3.40 cr, Mon 1.10 cr, Tue 1 cr, Wed 90 lakhs, Thu 90 lakhs.

The second-week collection is about 50% of the first-week collection, which is considered a normal drop. But the problem lies in the opening week collection itself. As Tiger’s Baaghi 2 is still number one choice for moviegoers, it is very unlikely that Hichki will get close to half-century figure in its lifetime. Hichki stars Rani Mukerji in the lead role of an aspiring teacher having Tourette syndrome, who must prove herself by educating a group of underprivileged students.
