Manikarnika Has Excellent First Weekend | Thackeray Superb in Maharashtra

Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika enjoyed a good number of footfalls in the first weekend. The opening was below par, but the positive word of mouth did work magnificently for the film and it crossed 40 crore.

As per the box office reports, the film garnered 15.70 crore on first Sunday to take its total domestic box office collection to 42.55 crore after 3 days. The budget of the film is not small, so it has to remain steady during the weekdays to become a profitable venture for the makers. The film should not find any hurdle in crossing 60 crore in its first week, however, it must get 65 crore to reach a good total in its lifetime.

The box office collection of Manikarnika is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 8.75 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 18.10 cr
Sunday (Day 3): ₹ 15.70 cr
Total: ₹ 42.55 cr

Another release of the week, Thackeray, worked only in Maharashtra and its Hindi version did not find many takers outside Maharashtra. As per the box office reports, the film earned 6.90 crore on first Sunday to take its total domestic box office collection to 22.90 crore after 3 days. As the weekend is over, it will be interesting to see how does it perform during the weekdays.
