As per the box office reports, the film amassed 129 crores in first four days of the opening week. The daily collection of the film in its first week is as follows: Wed [limited previews] 5 cr, Thu 19 cr, Fri 32 cr, Sat 27 cr, Sun 31 cr, Mon 15 cr.

Padmaavat finally hit the screens on January 25, 2018, amid much hullaballoo. The film faced massive protests from certain fringe groups across the nation, demanding a pan India ban on the period drama. The collection should remain steady in the first week and it may touch 170 crores in the opening week. The film has one more open week, so the lifetime collection may cross 250 crores. If the film had a smooth release, it would have easily crossed 300 crores in its lifetime.
