Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran Goes Past 60 Crores Mark

Salman Khan’s latest movie ‘Race 3’ hammered the collection of all movies at the ticket counters and John Abraham’s Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran is one of those victims. The collection of Parmanu had already dropped in the third week because of Kareena Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding, but now it is running on a few hundreds of screens because of Race 3. The collection fell below 50 lakhs on Friday, but it enjoyed a good recovery on Saturday.Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran Goes Past 60 Crore Mark

As per the box office reports, the film earned 83 lakhs on fourth Saturday to take its total domestic box office collection to 60.05 crores after 23 days. The Sunday collection might be along the lines of Saturday collection and it may cross 61 crores by the end of fourth Sunday.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the Eid festivity is helping the growth of the film. “#Parmanu comes in form on fourth Sat, with #Eid festivities helping growth… Crosses ₹ 60 cr mark… [Week 4] Fri 36 lakhs, Sat 83 lakhs. Total: ₹ 60.05 cr. India biz… Running in 318 cinemas / 464 shows per day.”, he said.

The word of mouth publicity and critics reviews for Race 3 are very poor which may hinder its juggernaut on weekdays. If that happens, Parmanu and Veere Di Wedding will be the biggest beneficiaries at the box office. Looking at the current trend, we expect Parmanu to cross 63 crores in its lifetime.

The business of the film is as follows:
Week 1: ₹ 35.41 cr
Week 2: ₹ 16.42 cr
Week 3: ₹ 7.03 cr
Friday (Day 22): ₹ 36 lakhs
Saturday (Day 23): ₹ 83 lakhs
Total: ₹ 60.05 cr HIT
