Sanya Malhotra’s latest movie Pataakha could not impress its target audience in the first weekend. The movie had appreciations from both critics and moviegoers, but it seems that those words did not convert into business. It is facing competition from Sui Dhaaga and Stree at the ticket windows, which has also affected its collection. As per the box office reports, the film earned 1.75 crore on first Sunday to take its total domestic box office collection to 4.05 crore after three days. Although the film witnessed growth over the weekend, the collection was on the lower side. The trend in the first weekend is not encouraging for the film, so it may end its box office journey at 11-12 crore.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collection of the movie on twitter. “#Pataakha witnesses escalation in biz, but the 3-day total is low… It’s all about maintaining the pace today [Day 4]… Day 5 [Tue] is a national holiday, hence the biz should shoot up again… Fri 90 lakhs, Sat 1.40 cr, Sun 1.75 cr. Total: ₹ 4.05 cr [875 screens]. India biz.“, he wrote.
The box office collection of the film is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 90 lakhs
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 1.40 cr
Sunday (Day 3): ₹ 1.75 cr
Total: ₹ 4.05 cr
