As predicted, Salman Khan’s Race 3 had an average second weekend at the box office. The film got the worst reviews from all movie critics and moviegoers’ feedback was also extremely negative. It had one of the best opening weekends as it scored 100 crores in just 3 days, but those negativities take a toll on the collection starting from Tuesday. The second-weekend collection is along the lines of expectations, although the film enjoyed some decent growths on both Saturday and Sunday.
As per the box office reports, the film collected 7 crores on second Sunday to take its total domestic box office collection to 160.46 crores after 10 days. The total collection in the second weekend is 16 crores, which is about 85% drop compared with the first-weekend collection. Ranbir Kapoor’s one of the most awaited movies Sanju will hit the theatres on coming Friday, so Race 3 has another 4 days to do any wonder at the ticket counters. Looking at the current trend, it seems that it will add another 4-5 crore in next 4 days and the lifetime collection may fall below 175 crores.
The box office collection of the film is as follows:
Week 1: ₹ 144.46 cr
Friday (Day 8): ₹ 3.50 cr
Saturday (Day 9): ₹ 5.50 cr
Sunday (Day 10): ₹ 7.00 cr
Total: ₹ 160.46 cr AVERAGE
