Race 3 Day 8 Box Office Collection | Business Starts Faltering

Salman Khan’s latest action film Race 3 did an excellent business in its opening weekend despite all negativities, but negative word of mouth took a toll on the collection during weekdays. The film could not get a good number of footfalls in multiplexes during weekdays which resulted in the continuous decline in the earning.Race 3 Day 8 Box Office Collection

As per the box office reports, the film collected 3.50 crores on second Friday to take its total domestic box office collection to 147.96 crores after 8 days. The drop in the collection on day 8 is huge if we compare it with the opening collection of 29.17 crores. The overall collection of the movie looks impressive, but the problem lies in its budget which is about 150 crores. The producers of the film will be in profit, but anything less than 200 crores will put the distributors in a big loss. Looking at the current trend at ticket counters, it seems that even 175 crores would be a daunting target for the film to achieve. Hollywood release Incredibles 2 has opened well and there are good chances that it would show a much bigger jump over rest of the weekend, hence staying on to be the first choice of the audiences. Also, Ranbir Kapoor’s most awaited movie Sanju will hit the screens next week, so it will be interesting to see if it could surpass the collection of Baaghi 2 (166 crores) which belonged to the same action genre.

The collection of the film is as follows:
Week 1: ₹ 144.46 cr
Friday (Day 8): ₹ 3.50 cr
Total: ₹ 147.96 cr
