After becoming the highest opening grosser Bollywood movie of 2018, Salman’s new release Race 3 witnessed a splendid growth on Saturday and is now heading to reach the century mark in its first weekend itself. Despite getting poor reviews from critics and moviegoers, the film is making the most of festivity.
As per the box office reports, the film amassed 38.14 crores on first Saturday to take its total domestic box office collection to 67.31 crores after 2 days. The jump in the collection on Saturday is more than 30% compared to the collection on Friday. The film is all set to put the similar kind of collection on Sunday to reach 100 crores.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures of day two. “#Race3 hits the ball out of the park on Day 2 [Sat]… #Eid festivities give MASSIVE BOOST to its biz… Day 3 [Sun] should score BIG NUMBERS yet again… ₹ 100 cr+ weekend on the cards… Fri 29.17 cr, Sat 38.14 cr. Total: ₹ 67.31 cr. India biz.“, he said.
The real test for the movie will start from Monday when the word of mouth and critics reviews will come into play, however, it might cross 200 crores in its lifetime. The budget for the film is approx. 100 crores, so it needs to perform like other movies of Salman Khan to become a box office winner.
The business of the film is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 29.17 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 38.14 cr
Total: ₹ 67.31 cr
