Race 3 Hits Century in First Weekend | Day 3 Box Office Collection

Most of Salman Khan’s recent movies are known as critic-proof because his fans do not go by critics’ reviews. Whatever is offered by Salman, they throng the theaters in large number to make it big. Race 3 is a recent example of that trend. The film got one of the worst reviews of the year from both critics and moviegoers, but it scored a century in just 3 days at the box office.Race 3

As per the box office reports, the film collected a whopping 39.16 crores on Sunday to take its total domestic box office collection to 106.47 crores after 3 days, making it the second highest weekend opener of 2018. As expected, the collection on Sunday is along the lines of that on Saturday.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the Sunday collection of the film. “And #Race3 scores a CENTURY… Crosses ? cr… Fourth Salman starrer to collect ₹ 100 cr mark in *3 days* [#BajrangiBhaijaan, #Sultan, #TigerZindaHai]… Fri 29.17 cr, Sat 38.14 cr, Sun 39.16 cr. Total: ₹ 106.47 cr. India biz.” , he said

Race 3 is Salman’s fourth film to earn more than 100 crores in 3 days, after Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, and TigerZindaHai. Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat continues to top the list of highest weekend openers for the year with Rs 114 crores, however, Padmaavat had a five-day weekend as opposed to Race 3’s regular weekend. The holiday is over and now word of mouth and critics reviews will come into play. Also, the film has one more open week at the box office before Rajkumar Hirani’s much-awaited Sanju hits the screens on 29 June 2018. So, it will be interesting to see if Race 3 can deter all the negativities around it during weekdays.

The business of the film is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 29.17 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 38.14 cr
Sunday (Day 3): ₹ 39.16 cr
Total: ₹ 106.47 cr
