Sanju Box Office Collection Day 2 | Movie Witnesses More Than 10% Growth on Saturday

Rajkumar Hirani’s latest offering Sanju enjoyed the biggest opening of 2018 on Friday and it surpassed the opening collection of Avengers: Infinity War by a margin of about 3 crores. If the early reports have anything to say, the film got more footfalls on Saturday and the collection witnesses about 11% jump with respect to Friday.Sanju Box Office Collection Day 2

As per the box office reports, the film amassed 38.60 crores on first Saturday to take its total domestic box office collection to 73.35 crores after 2 days. The occupancy in small cities and single screens were average on Friday, but it picked up momentum on Saturday. The word of mouth for the movie is excellent and critics have given thumbs-up too, so the first-weekend collection may go beyond 115 crores.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the collection of the film. “East. West. North. South… The REMARKABLE RUN continues pan India… #Sanju creates HAVOC on Day 2 [Sat]… Will cross ₹ 100 cr mark today [Sun; Day 3]… This one’s a MONEY SPINNER, a LOTTERY… Fri 34.75 cr, Sat 38.60 cr. Total: ₹ 73.35 cr. India biz.”, he wrote.

Like previous movies of Hirani, Sanju will break several box office records and may set a new box office benchmark. The film will also become the biggest hit for Ranbir Kapoor. Salman Khan’s Race 3 had scored century in 3 days and it seems that Sanju will beat Race 3 by a huge margin despite getting a smaller number of screens. The film released in 4000 screens (Race 3 had 4400 screens) and on a non-holiday weekend.

Sanju is based on the life of Sanjay Dutt and is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film is also Hirani’s top opener. His last release PK starring Aamir Khan opened with a collection of Rs 26.63 crores. After breaking the opening record of two big releases of 2018, now it stands to be seen what other records will the Ranbir Kapoor film write in its name.

The box office collection of the film is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 34.75 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 38.60 cr
Total: ₹ 73.35 cr
