John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Satyameva Jayate remained flat on its third day at the box office. The collection had dropped on Thursday and was expected to grow, but it neither dropped nor grew on first Friday. The film has done an excellent business in the first two days because of single screens and multiplexes in small cities.
As per the box office reports, the film earned about 8.15 crores on first Friday to take its total domestic box office collection to 36.59 crores after 3 days. The early trend in multiplexes on Saturday is not very encouraging for the film. Again single screens need to perform well for a decent weekend. The budget of the film is about 50 crores, so it will enter into the profitable zone at the end of the first weekend. It should finish its first weekend with 55-56 crores. The weekdays are going to be crucial for the film because masala actions films usually drop during weekdays.
The business of the film is as follows:
Wednesday (Day 1): ₹ 20.52 cr
Thursday (Day 2): ₹ 7.92 cr
Friday (Day 3): ₹ 8.15 cr
Total: ₹ 36.59 cr
