John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Satyameva Jayate witnessed first noticeable drop on Saturday. After earning an unexpected figure on Wednesday, the film has been struggling at the ticket windows. The collection remained steady on Thursday and Friday, but it declined on Saturday because of lower collection from single screens.
As per the box office reports, the film collected 7.25 crores on Saturday to take its total domestic box office collection to 43.84 crores after 4 days. The film should score a half-century in its first weekend. The decline on Saturday is not a good sign for the lifetime collection as the film will lose a large number of screens in the next week. The budget of the film is about 50 crores, so it will definitely become a profitable venture for the makers. Satyameva Jayate has affected the collection of Akshay’s Gold negatively and at the end of the box office run, both films will be losers.
The business of the film is as follows:
Wednesday (Day 1): ₹ 20.52 cr
Thursday (Day 2): ₹ 7.92 cr
Friday (Day 3): ₹ 8.15 cr
Saturday (Day 4): ₹ 7.25 cr
Total: ₹ 43.84 cr
