Taapsee Pannu’s latest movie “Shabaash Mithu” had a miserable opening at the Indian box office. The film carried a negative pre-release buzz due to its lead actor, and the negativity affected its box office collection. There is almost no chance it will recover from such a low opening as moviegoers did not like the film’s content. The movie will soon join the club of the biggest disasters in Bollywood. Per our estimates, it should collect ~2 crores in the first weekend and ~3 crores in its lifetime.
Shabaash Mithu is a Bollywood biographical sports drama film directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Viacom18 Studios. The film is based on the life of former Test and ODI captain of the India women’s national cricket team, Mithali Raj. It stars Taapsee Pannu in the titular role and Vijay Raaz as her coach. The film was theatrically released on 15 July 2022.
