Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree is not showing any sign of torpor even after a month at the box office. The film, which scored a century in its third weekend, has now become the fifth biggest grosser of 2018 by surpassing Alia Bhatt’s Raazi.
As per the box office reports, the film earned 52 lakh on its fifth Friday to take its total domestic box office collection to 123.18 crore after 29 days. This week’s new release Sui Dhaaga has been well received by the moviegoers, so Stree might feel some real heat at the ticket windows. However, there should be no hurdle for the movie in crossing 125 crore in its lifetime.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collection of the movie on twitter. “#Stree continues to bring in numbers, although the limited screen count + shows and new releases [#SuiDhaaga in particular] has affected its run… Fifth Sat and Sun should witness an upward trend… [Week 5] Fri 52 lakhs. Total: ₹ 123.18 cr. India biz.“, he wrote.
The box office collection of the film is as follows:
Week 1: ₹ 60.39 cr
Week 2: ₹ 35.14 cr
Week 3: ₹ 17.14 cr
Week 4: ₹ 9.99 cr
Friday (Day 29): 52 lakh
Total: ₹ 123.18 cr BLOCKBUSTER
