Thugs Of Hindostan First Weekend Collection in China

Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Thugs Of Hindostan found no taker at the Chinese box office. A few months ago, the film was vehemently rejected by Indian moviegoers as it failed to cross 150 crore despite amassing 50+ crore on its opening day. The producers took a chance by releasing such bad movie in China, but the film faced rejection there too.

Thugs Of Hindostan First Weekend Collection in China

The film collected only $4.71 million in its first weekend in the Chinese market which is lower than Akshay Kumar’s Padman. The star power of Aamir Khan did not work this time as the makers had offered a pathetic product to the Chinese audience. Producers have sold the movie at 100+ crore, which means Chinese distributors will in a huge loss. This will definitely affect the future films of Aamir Khan and his films might not fetch such a huge price again.

Friday (Day 1): $ 1.51 mn
Saturday (Day 2): $ 1.56 mn
Sunday (Day 3): $ 1.61 mn
Total: $ 4.71 mn [₹ 32.93 cr]
