After smashing several box office records on the day of its release, Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Thugs of Hindostan witnessed a humongous drop in the collection on first Monday. Starting from the second day, it was evident that the movie has been rejected by moviegoers and it will fail to meet the expectations. However, no one would have thought that the earning will be in a single digit on the fifth day at the box office.
As per the box office reports, the film earned about 5.50 crore on first Monday to take its total domestic box office collection to 124.50 crore after 5 days. With such decline, it seems that the film may not cross even 150 crore in its lifetime. It has been rejected by moviegoers in almost all regions; not a single region is helping the film. While it broke several box office records on the opening day, the weekend collection of the film stands lower than Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju and Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai.
The box office collection of Thugs of Hindostan is as follows:
Thursday (Day 1): ₹ 50.75 cr [52.25 cr all languages]
Friday (Day 2): ₹ 28.25 cr [29.25 cr all languages]
Saturday (Day 3): ₹ 22.75 cr [23.50 cr all languages]
Sunday (Day 4): ₹ 17.25 cr [18 cr all languages]
Monday (Day 5): ₹ 5.50 cr
Total: ₹ 124.50 cr
