Thugs of Hindostan Slows Down on Friday | Day 2 Box Office Collection

After posting a historic total on the opening day, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan (TOH) witnessed a noticeable decline in the collection on the second day. The film has received one of the worst reviews of 2018 and the word of mouth publicity is also unfavorable. Therefore, the film failed to maximize the benefits of the festive release on its second day at the ticket counters.Thugs of Hindostan Slows Down on Friday | Day 2 Box Office Collection

As per the box office reports, the film garnered 28.25 crore on Friday to take its total domestic box office collection to about 79 crore after 2 days. It needs to maintain the momentum on Saturday and Sunday to cross 150 crore in the extended weekend.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office figure of the film. He wrote,
“#ThugsOfHindostan
HINDI:
Thu 50.75 cr, Fri 28.25 cr. Total: ₹ 79 cr
TAMIL + TELUGU:
Thu 1.50 cr, Fri 1 cr. Total: ₹ 2.50 cr
Total: ₹ 81.50 cr [5000 screens]

#TOH”

The collection will definitely drop during the weekdays because of negativity around the film. So, the weekend collection has become too crucial to post a decent lifetime total. The budget of the movie is about 300 crore and it should be able to recover the cost from different rights. However, recovery from domestic box office seems impossible.

The box office collection of Thugs of Hindostan is as follows:
Thursday (Day 1): ₹ 50.75 cr [52.25 cr all languages]
Friday (Day 2): ₹ 28.25 cr [29.25 cr all languages]
Total: ₹ 79.00 cr [81.50 cr all languages]
