Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger Zinda Hai started with a bang at the box office. Having released on about 4600 screens, the film was expected to leave some marks on the box office on day one and it did not disappoint. The film surpassed Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal again to become the second highest opener of 2017.
As per the box office reports, the film amassed 33.75 crores on day one. Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again had collected 30.14 crores on its opening day and was the highest opener of 2017. However, Tiger Zinda Hai’s opening day collection is significantly lower than this year’s indisputable champion of the box office – Baahubali: The Conclusion, the Hindi dubbed version of which made Rs. 44 crore on Day one.

Tiger Zinda Hai is the sequel of Ek Tha Tiger and also stars Katrina Kaif. Though instead of Kabir Khan, Ali Abbas Zafar has directed the sequel. Both Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprise their roles from the first film. The film released on Friday on 5700 screens, out of which 4600 screens are in India.
