Toilet: Ek Prem Katha Shows an Excellent Growth on Saturday | Second Day Box Office Collection

Riding on positive feedback, Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha witnessed a phenomenal jump in the collection on Saturday. The occupancy in big multiplexes showed a huge growth on second day compared to first day, so now it can easily hit a half-century in first weekend. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha Shows an Excellent Growth on Saturday

As per the box office reports, the film amassed 17.10 crores on Saturday to take its total domestic box office collection to 30.20 crores after two days.

The movie has a limited release (about 2900-3000 screens) and the ticket price is also normal, so such collection can be termed humongous. Usually, the ticket price of most of the films starring big actors is increased by 20-30%. So, with normal ticket price and an unusual story, the film has definitely hit the bull’s eye. After four big failures (Tubelight, Jagga Jasoos, Mubarakan, and JHMS), this film will make distributors as well as makers happy. As tweeted by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, it has pumped oxygen in the lungs of an ailing film industry and the dry spell at the BO ends finally.

Because of an extended weekend, hitting a century in first week should now be an easy task for the film and if it could maintain the momentum in second weekend, it might become the biggest grosser for Akshay Kumar. The final figure can not be predicted at the moment because it will depend on second weekend, however TEPK is going to be the first century for Bhumi Pednekar.
