Sunny Singh’s latest Ujda Chaman fared badly at the Indian box office; it could not even cross 10 crores in its first weekend. The dull response at ticket windows may be attributed to the upcoming release ‘Bala‘ which has a very similar story. Although the film got a good number of screens, the audience gave a miss to it. The trend during the weekend suggests that the film will collect 15-17 crore in its lifetime.
The film got average ratings from many critics and the word of mouth publicity was also not up to the mark. Since Ayushmann Khurana’s Bala is releasing on Thursday, Ujda Chaman does not have enough days left to add extra mullah to its kitty.
Ujda Chaman a language comedy-drama directed by Abhishek Pathak and produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak under the banner of Panorama Studios.
